咱都對「女神卡卡 (Lady Gaga)」略知一二，但您可知道「小貓卡卡 (Kitty Gaga)」是何方神聖呢？  

We’ve all known a thing or two about Lady Gaga, but do you know who the hell is Kitty Gaga?  

以下的故事是從我的一位好友的部落格文章借的，俺覺得很新鮮有趣，且定會引起您注意地。  

The following story is borrowed from one of my best friends’ blog, which I think is interesting and is believed to catch your eyes.  

大家都知道「女神卡卡」以其怪異行徑和奇特裝扮聞名於搖滾界。瞧瞧這張~~

不過哩，不久之前，一段在網上廣為流傳的影片，讓一隻羅馬尼亞的貓兒（我朋友叫牠『小貓卡卡』；看看以下影片您便知曉）一夕爆紅。牠另類的初登台作品無疑也使牠在網上造成轟動，且似乎已經準備好要來向女神卡卡較勁，看誰網上的點閱率較高。 

Well, not long ago, one footage making the rounds on the Internet turned a cat (named Kitty Gaga by my friend; see the film below for more details) from Romania into an overnight sensation. Her odd debut has no doubt made her a splash on-line as well and seemed ready to compete with Lady Gaga for the number of on-line viewers.  

** 第一句…one footage making the rounds…turned a cat…它的主詞是one footage，而動詞則是turned，當中的making the rounds on the Internet則是形容詞片語，用來補充說明footage，是省略關係代名詞which而變成形容詞片語的用法。它的原句則是~~…one footage which (that) made the rounds…turned a cat…。要將形容詞子句(也就是以關係代名詞為首的子句)變成形容詞片語很簡單，作法是1.將關代省略；2.關代後的動詞若是主動則變成ing(如果有be動詞則跟著省略)，被動則變成p.p. (如果有be動詞則跟著省略)；3.後頭照抄。例1：The man who is standing over there is my brother.站在那裡的那位男士是我弟弟àThe man standing over there is my brother. 例2：This is the bag which was bought by Steven a few days ago.這就是Steven幾天前買的包包àThis is the bag bought by Steven a few days ago.

在瀏覽了一些網上資料後，我將「小貓卡卡」的首度成名過程濃縮成以下的小文章和大家分享。  

After going over some sources on the Internet, I boiled down the whole event into the following short article about how Kitty Gaga first came to prominence.

這一天是位於羅馬尼亞-布加勒斯特市的這隻貓兒不幸的一天，因為牠被發現「卡」在半開窗戶的中間，動彈不得。  

A cat from Bucharest , Romania was having a bad day because she was spotted stuck in a half-open window and could not get out. 
 

根據CNN的報導指出，「牠可能溜出去了一會兒，但當牠要回家時，卻無法越過這扇窗而卡在其中」。  

According to CNN, “she had probably been out for a walk and when she came back, she couldn't get through and got stuck in the window.” 
 

好幾十個路人在人行道觀看貓兒的爭扎過程，而最後總算有位男士決定上前解救小貓脫離苦海。  

Dozen of passers-by was just watching from the sidewalk as the cat struggled before a man decided to come to her rescue in the end.  

** passers-by是passer-by的複數，記住變複數時，其「s」是要加在passer後頭喔！其它相同的複合名詞looker-on(旁觀者)àlookers-on、father-in-law(岳父)àfathers-in-law…等也是如此形成複數喔！ 
 

好加在牠現在平安無事，且經過這次事件後，我敢保証「小貓卡卡」決不敢在窗戶附近玩耍了。  

Thanks God that she is ok now, and after this incident, I bet Kitty Gaga would never play around a window again. 

 

當俺第一次看到這影片時，真的無法克制自己不笑。接著我滿懷同情地想，「卡卡」究竟是如何會卡在窗戶的中間呢？但不管如何，我想說的是，非常感謝影片中的那位善心人士，我們也要如同那位仁兄一樣有顆好心腸，需要我們的時侯則馬上伸出援手，而別袖手旁觀。

When I first saw the video, I could not suppress a laugh and was then pondering, with sympathy, how Gaga got stuck like that in the first place. But, anyway, what I would like to say is that many thanks to the kind man in the video, and we all shall also have the same heart of gold and offer our helping hands promptly whenever we need to instead of just being an onlooker.
