上篇的答案公佈：它們是可讓飲品冰涼可口的「威士忌石」  Answer to the question of last blog: They are the Whisky Rocks, used for chilling your drinks.  

是的，這些石頭就是所謂的「威士忌石」，用皂石製成的。您猜到了嗎？它們不只是一般的石頭而已，可以當做冰塊使用，非常適合加入您的威士忌酒（或任何您喜歡的飲料）中，使其冰涼可口又不會稀釋掉如夢般的口感。  

Yes, these are what are called Whisky Rocks, made of soapstones. Hare you got the answer correct? They are more than ordinary rocks. They serve as the function of ice cubs, and are ideal for putting a slight chill in your whisky (or any drink you like) without diluting the dram of your dream. 

** 「A be made of B」和「A be made from B」皆指A由B製成，但兩者的用法要注意喔；前者代表著A的外在還看得出來是B製作的，沒有產生任何的化學變化。而後者的A則在製作過程中因產生了化學變化，和B差很多，看不出來了。例：This wine is made from Australian grapes. 這酒是由澳洲葡萄製成的。This chair is made of wood.這張椅子是由木頭製成的。

Congratulation on Jane, who firstly figured out the answer. Wow, Jane, you are really something and amazing. Wait for my secret gift (to which I promised to send the first lucky one) I got from out-port. Though there are many of you who have given the correct answer already, including Laura, Jenny, momo and Jenny, still the gift only goes to, as I promised in my last blog, the first person with the correct answer. As for the other lucky guys, all I can do is say “congratulation” to you and wait for the next prize-giving activity.  

** 中文裡頭的「雖然…」後頭通常加「但是…」、「因為…」後頭通常加「所以…」，不過英文中雖然…和因為…的句後是不加但是…以及所以…的喔。如：Though/Although she is not good-looking, she has a heart of gold. 嗯~我承認這個答案的確是不好猜啦，因為我們亞洲人幾乎沒有人用這種石頭來代替冰塊讓飲料冰涼。不過你們中還是有不少人猜中，真的是很會猜耶。至少，雖然大家沒有看過這種東西，這也是一種好方式來運用咱們的想像力，可不是嗎？雖然很多答案是錯的，但我很喜歡，因為很有創意以及有趣。  

Well, I admit that this is not an easy answer, because seldom Asian people use these rocks in replace of ice cubes to ice their drinks. But, well, there are still some of you who are excellent in guess and have come up with the correct answer. At least, this is a good way to use our imagination though we haven’t seen things like these, isn’t it? I love many of your answers which are incorrect but very creative and interesting.  

是的，西方人的確好像比亞洲人更享受生活。只是喝個像威士忌的烈酒，就有這種威士忌石的東西被發明出來讓飲品更順口。嗯~這些石仔真的扮演了代替冰塊的種要角色；您只要在使用它前將石頭放在冷凍庫幾個小時，然後放幾顆在您的飲料裡頭即可，是不是個很方便讓您飲料既冰又不破壞原味的好方法呢？  

Yes, westerners do seem to enjoy their lives more than we Asians. For just drinking some spirit such as whisky, there are such things as the Whisky Rocks created to make the drink taste perfect. Well, these rocks have surely played an important role in being the alternative of ice cubes. You just store them in freezer for a couple of hours before use, and then put a few of them into your drink. It’s very convenient and easy to make a glass of iced drink without spoiling its original flavor, right?
