A good friend of mine came to Hong Kong, and surely I’d got to be a good host.
This time we decided to check out another angle of Hong Kong; in addition to hanging out in the lively, populous, and boisterous cities, we witnessed the beauty and the inviting local touches of Hong Kong’s fishing village. We headed for Dai-O Fishing Town.
Known as the Oriental Venice, Dai O is located on the Dai-O island, away from the hustle and bustle downtowns of Hong Kong and not citilized a lot. Dai-O fishing town still remains its traditional looks in many ways of the old days. Surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, Pan Uks, a kind of stilt houses that form a community of fisher folk who’ve built their houses on which above the tidal flats of Lantau Island for generations, are quite scenic to many tourists.
I love this place so much. It’s a tranquil area. Coming here once in a while to have a bite of the delicious seafood and to have a leisure stroll on every corner of the island gives you a laidback and relaxing feel.
