這次可以換到四天的巴林直飛班，真的是幸運到家了。  

I was extremely lucky to have swapped for a 4-day direct-Bahrain flight. 
 

原來這個月中的一週年假後又連著七天的休假(共連休十五天)，但為了可以多賺點錢，只好把年假後的四天假拿來換班飛，沒想到這麼幸運地換到超搶手、津貼多而且好飛的巴林四天班。  

I was originally scheduled a one-week annual leave followed by 7-day holidays (15 breaks in total), beginning from the mid-June. In order that I could make more money, I used 4 holidays in the wake of the annual leave to swap for a flight and was in the end lucky enough to have landed the 4-day Bahrain flight, the flight with good allowance, favorite to most of us crews, and easy to operate.  

「巴林」是位於中東波斯灣的一個小島國，主要盛產石油以及珍珠，世界知名建築物如位於巴林金融港，造形設計新穎的「巴林世貿中心大樓」，以及F1方程式賽車巴林賽道即位於此。不過它大概在六七月間恐怖的沙塵暴和高溫卻讓不少遊客望之却步，不大敢在暑假前來觀光。  

Bahrain is a small island country in the Persian Gulf, Middle East, known for its oil, pearls, the world-famous innovatively designed Bahrain World Trade Center in Bahrain Financial Harbor , and the Bahrain International Circuit where the Bahrain F1 Grand Prix takes places. During summer season roughly around June to July, Bahrain ’s horrible dust storms and high temperature oftentimes form as a terror to many a tourist and hamper them from coming for a visit.  

* 最後一句的「many a」後面接的是單數名詞表全體。注意，如果此為主詞時，後方的動詞因為a之故要接「單數」動詞喔！如：Many a boy in my class knows how to swimà我班上的許多男孩子都會游泳。  

巴林其實是個很無聊的地方，沒啥可以逛而且相當炙熱，絕大多數的組員幾乎都足不出戶的。還好這裡的飯店極盡其奢華之能事，讓顧客即使不出門也可以有難忘的舒適經驗。在巴林飯店的住房超級高檔，內部格局和裝潢就如皇宮一般。飯店裡頭也有廚房，聽其他組員的建議，俺帶了不少蔬菜水果在飯店裡頭自行料理三餐，如此就可將高額的外站津貼全省下來，真是明智之舉呀！  

Boring and terribly hot, Bahrain is actually a barren land to most of us crews, which always makes us grounded in our hotel rooms during our stays. But, thanks to its luxurious palace-like quality, our hotel in Bahrain offers us supreme comfort and wonderful living experience, allowing us to still enjoy ourselves in Bahrain without hanging out on streets. With a well-equipped kitchen, the hotel also allows us to cook for ourselves. I did take other crews’ advice to bring some vegetables and fruits to this hotel so that I could cook in my room and thus save the whole out-port allowance. What a wise action.

帶去飯店的食材:有蔬果, 白米, 肉鬆, 泡麵, 麵包...等!  Foods brought to my hotel, including vegetables, fruits, fried pork flakes, instant noodles, bread, etc.

雖然外頭熱到不行(就連半夜都可以熱到三十六七度耶，白天可想而知其酷熱的程度了)但俺還是利用傍晚五點，太陽較小的時侯到外頭走走，走了一個多小時的感想是，這裡能逛能看的，除了建築物外，還是建築物，真不曉得他們的百貨公司或者超市是藏到哪去了！  

Though scorching hot out there (it can be as hot as up to 37℃ in the night, so you may imagine how hot it is in the daytime), I still took advantage of the cooler dusk moment at about 5 pm to have a stroll in the neighborhood. After a one-hour walk, what I would like to comment is, “there is nothing to be explored but buildings”. It’s really hard for me to figure out where those department stores and supermarkets are harbored.
