昨天才剛從中東的一個小國—巴林(Bahrain)回來.  

I just came back from the small middle-eastern country— Bahrain yesterday.
 

這一班是四天的中東巴林班,首先要飛八個多小時到利雅德(Riyadh),接著再從利雅德飛大概五十分鐘至巴林.然後在巴林待個一天多後回香港.  

That was a four-day middle-eastern Bahrain flight. It started from an eight-hour journey to Riyadh , and then connected to Bahrain for about 50 minutes. We stayed in Bahrain for more than one day before returning to Hong Kong .
 

Well,之前不少人都說這趟班不錯做,而且超級多人invite我要和我換這個班,因為聽說好做且外站津貼多;不過自從阿酋航空美女空服員Kathy和我說,大部份的中東班,因為目前正值他們的齋戒月,大部份的回教徒入夜後會像餓死鬼一樣狂吃狂點(因為白天不能吃東西)後,我就怕怕,想把它換掉.不過好奇怪喔,竟然換不掉說,我想老天爺應該要讓我自己來體驗這恐怖的煉獄.  

Well, I’d heard a lot before about how great this flight was, and tons of crews had sent invitations to swap with me for it due to the light-load duty and attractive allowance. However, not until the Emirate Airway babe—Kathy informed me of the dark side of most of the middle-eastern flights (this month happens to be the Ramadan for Muslims, so the starving Muslim passengers begin to make a pig of themselves when the Sun is totally set because of not being able to eat in the day), did I begin to be fearful of my Bahrain flight. I then tried my best to swap it away, but strangely I failed. I think this must be the God’s will for me to find out how horrendous this flight would be. 
 

呵,結果,沒有換成功是對的,因為這個班真的就如同其他同事說的,黃金班啦!因為回教徒不多,小貓兩三隻而已!而且乘客人不錯,不會亂要求.到了巴林時,飯店正到不像樣,就像住宮殿一樣,一切一應俱全,金碧輝煌.但就是忘了帶相機,不然就可以讓網友們一窺這六星級飯店的概貎.  

Ha, the failure to swap out the flight ended up with a good result to me because it’s really the very Golden Flight just like how it is oftentimes described by others. When operating the flight, I actually found few Muslims; besides, most of the passengers were nice, who did not request at will. When in Bahrain, the hotel for us crew to stay was too good to be true which made me feel as if I had stayed in a palace, golden radiantly and with everything completely furnished. But it was a pity that I forgot to bring my camera, or I would be able to capture some of this “six-star” hotel’s beauty and splendor to share with you.
 

另外,另一項好的部份就是這趟班的Crew都不錯.不但和台灣人,長相超甜,人很高的”甜姐兒”Kelly一起飛,而且我這Galley的阿哥也是個超級nice的人.我跟阿哥很投緣,都一直有話題可以聊,就好像認識很久的朋友一樣.嗯~~下次還要再換這班來飛!  

Despite of the above-mentioned, another good thing I can tell you is that all the crew were very nice. I was so happy to fly with the sweet, tall Taiwanese crew—Kelly. Luckily enough, I was assigned to work with a super nice section leader at my Galley. Just like old friends, we had a lot in common and chatted whenever at leisure throughout the entire flight. Well, I will try to swap for this flight next time.

對了, 順道一提上一個禮拜我又再度飛了煉獄班首選—德里.天哪~第二次飛的驚聳程度和幾個月前的首航比真是有過之而無不及.那些印度客真的是有夠給它難搞~煩、無理、味道重…有好幾次和我要不到飲料而跑到Galley甚到在走道上堵我,氣死人.  

By the way, I flew to the No.1 hell flight— Delhi again last week. Gosh, the terror and ghastly feel from my second time to operated this flight was no less than that of my first Delhi flight. Those Indian passengers were so difficult to handle—annoying, terribly rude, and smelly. There were a few times a certain outrageous guy even stopped my task in the galley or on the isle just for something to drink. 
 

Well, what I felt about the hotel was totally different from that of the cabin. I found our rooms in the Delhi hotel upgraded by our company. The interior of the hotel room can be equal to Dubai ’s or Bahrain ’s, which was equipped with state-of-the-art in-room facilities, including high-tech TVs and acoustics and motel-like bathrooms with individual shower booth and bathtub. Amazingly, the glass walls in bathrooms were designed with one-touch scrollable curtains. On the whole, the room feels so comfy. I think all these heavenly offers are arranged by the Company just because we crew deserve such rewards after the killing and tiring Delhi flight.
