印度欽奈首航 My First Flight to Chennai, India－luosteve的部落格

這是俺的第一趟欽奈班(十月二十四日)。欽奈是印度的第四大城，也是印度重要的旅遊中心。

This was my first time (Oct. 24) to operate the flight to Chennai, the forth largest city of India , which plays an important role as an Indian tourist center.

欽奈這趟航班呀，一般來說會和德里及孟買班一樣都是一讓人想到就心生畏懼的班（如果您有看過我之前所寫的德里班經驗談便可了解俺的意思了）。但是呢，根據其他組員的說法以及我自己的親身經驗，欽奈班並不像其它的印度班那樣讓人避之唯恐不及；我想這是因為機上乘客通常不多而且都較有涵養、要求不高，不「咄咄逼人」之故。

As with other Indian flights such as the ones to Dehli and Bombay , the Chennai flight is generally thought of as a “dreadful” in-flight experience.(Had you read my article about Delhi flight, you would have understood what I mean.) However, from many other crews’ sharing as well as my personal experience, the Chennai flight is nowhere near as a bother as other Indian flights. I think this is because the passengers, usually not a lot on board, are mostly well-educated and nicer, not demanding and “on-your-face”.

這趟班是欽奈班裡最短的，只有三天的行程。大部份的組員都沒有太多的時間在當地消磨，更不用說要好好熟悉飯店附近的環境了，因為我們半夜一點半到，然後第二天半夜大概一點多就得離開了。

This was the shortest pattern of the flight to Chennai, lasting only 3 days. Most of the crew do not have enough time to kill, let alone even hanging around the vicinity of the hotel because we arrive at about 1:30 am of the local time, and leave at around one a.m. something on the next morning.

** This was…, lasting only 3 days. 逗點後的lasting是將關係代名詞「which」省略後的用法，關係代名詞如：who、which、that省略後若後方的動詞用法是主動，那麼動詞改成Ving(若前方有be動詞輔助此動詞成進行式，則be動詞要省略)；若是被動用法，那麼就用Vp.p.。如：The man who is standing by the window is my brother = The man standing by the window is my brother (站在窗戶旁的那個男的是我兄弟；I have a car which still functions very well after I bought it 15 years ago = I have a car still functioning very well after I bought it 15 years ago (我有一台買了十五年但依舊運作良好的車)；This is the book which was given by Steven as my birthday present = This is the book given by Steven as my birthday present (這本書是Steven送我的生日禮物)。

雖然看起來待在欽奈這不到一天的時間裡，我們好像沒啥事情可以做，但飯店卻是可以讓我們好好利用、放鬆自我的好地方。它裡頭有不少如游泳池、三溫暖、以及健身房等「暢快身心」的設施，供咱們度過空閒。

Although it seems to be nothing for us to do during our stay in Chennai, the hotel itself may be good enough to be a great place to relax ourselves. There are quite a bit refreshing facilities in the hotel, including swimming pool, sauna, and gym, for us to spend our leisure time.

除此之外，飯店裡頭的餐廳也超「讚」的。如果我們想讓印度在這趟航班裡留下好印象，那麼絕不可錯過去嚐試一下飯店裡的吃到飽早、午餐。我在那兒用了午餐，餐廳內的美食花樣多到令人眼花撩亂，吃了之後才覺得每道菜真的是不錯吃哩！俺在餐廳裡待了很久，直到肚子撐不下為止。嗯~~真的由衷建議其他的組員們，若您們有被排到欽奈班，可以不用將它換掉，好好去體驗那趟飛行、欽奈這個地方、以及好吃且道地的食物吧!

In addition, the restaurants in the hotel we stay really deserve our thumbs up. The buffet breakfast and lunch are the musts that we need to try in order to leave ourselves with a good impression of India . I had my lunch in the buffet restaurant, where a bewildering variety of options for delicious food are served. Everything looks nice and they really were after I tasted them. I spent much time on lunch until I couldn’t take any more bite. Hm…I heartedly suggest other crews that they consider keeping the Chennai flight once rostered with and give it a whirl to feel the flight, the place and the typically local foods of Chennai.
