想提升自己英文能力,讓脫口而出的英語更漂亮貼切的人有福了~這本書會是您最有利的工具。

Those who are longing for improving English proficiency and talking more colloquially and appropriately in English may now find this book very useful for such purpose.

** 在英文裡頭,若要表示「那些的人」、「凡是的人」的用法,可套用:Those who +  VWhoever +  VAnyone who + VThey who +  VHe who  + V…(後二者較正式且常在古籍中出現)的格式, 但要注意主動詞一致喔。例:Those who want to travel abroad need to save up. = Whoever wants to travel abroad needs to save up. = Anyone who wants to travel abroad needs to save up. = They who want to travel abroad need to save up. = He who wants to travel abroad needs to save up. 凡是想到國外旅遊的人都需好好存錢。

我喜歡趁空閒時到書店打發時間。幾週前我在台灣的一家書店裡發現了這本「英語會話6000,是一本會話辭典來的。在仔細地探究其內容後,我深信它可以讓許多的台灣英語學習者獲益喔!

I like to kill time in bookstores whenever at leisure. A few weeks ago, I found this book, 英語會話6000 (English Conversation 6000), an conversational English dictionary, in a bookstore in Taiwan and was convinced that it could benefit a lot of Taiwanese English learners after “closely looking into its contents”.

** 第一句以複合關係代名詞whenever所引導的副詞子句中,若其主詞和主要子句的主詞相同則可省略,主動詞用ving,被動動詞用p.p.(B動詞則省略喔,就如本段第一句原句:whenever I’m at leisure)。例:Whenever watching a movie, I like to eat popcorns.

當您翻了翻此書的第一個感覺就是,這些內容都不難嘛,很簡單啊!是的~書中有很多的會話用語都是用我們所熟悉的字句拼湊而成,也是阿逗仔平時常用的口語,但您可以流暢且自然地如此脫口而出嗎?有很多字句甚至還會讓您訝異地驚覺,「啊!原來要這樣用才對喔!」

The first thought that comes into your mind when you flip through this book is very likely to be “the contents are not so difficult, easy for me”. True. A number of the conversational phrases and sentences in this book are made up of the basic words we’ve already known and are actually  spoken by English native speakers in their daily lives. However, can you express them fluently and naturally as the native speakers do? Also, in many cases, you may exclaim at some phrases and sentences with “What? This is the correct way to use?”when you study this book.
