Last week, I operated an AKL flight with two of my best Taiwanese colleagues. That was an experience of sheer exhilaration.  

我很喜歡飛奧克蘭，因為那裡讓我感覺很舒服，而且外站津貼多。不過因為之前都是我一個台灣人做奧克蘭班，沒有認識的，所以很多時侯也就自己鎖在房裡，或者頂多一個人到這美麗的城市走一走而已。但這回和兩個台灣同事—Mars及 Ariel一起做這一班，不論是在機上或到當地都有相當難忘的體驗。 

I love flying to Auckland very much, for I find it very comfortable to stay there; plus, the out-port allowance offered by my company is quite attractive. Well, since I was always the only Taiwanese crew in all the AKL flights I’ve done before with very few acquaintances to fly together, when staying in AKL, I liked to be cooped up in my room and only did a few outings alone in that beautiful city. However, when I operated the flight with two of my Taiwanese colleagues, Mars and Ariel, we all had a wonderful moment both in flight or in out-port.  

俺在這趟班上第二次賣機上免費品。大部份的組員最怕就是被公司排到要賣機上免稅品(除了那些想賺錢的機上銷售團隊之外)，因為除了一般的機上工作都要做之外，還要外加賣免稅品，雖然有佣金可以抽，但很辛苦，不得休息，比一般的空服員要做更多的事，且常常都沒有啥時間吃東西，而且也得隨時膽戰心驚地處理突發的銷售狀況。不過這次第二次賣免稅品的感想是，俺的經驗值又提昇了不少喔。  

You know what, it was my second time to sell duty-free products in flight. A number of crews in my company are very afraid of being assigned the position of selling duty-free products (in addition to those who are interested in making extra money), because not only should they need to do the routine work but they also have to deal with duty-free affairs. Although they can receive commission from the sales, yet it’s a tiring job to do and it imposes the duty-free selling crews with more tasks than other flight attendants; moreover, the duty-free crews usually have their meals irregularly and should always be ready to cope with unexpected, terror-stricken difficult sales situation. Well, from my second duty-free experience, what I would like to comment on is that I’ve made a lot of progress on the sales. 

我和另外兩位台灣組員年紀都差了不少，但讓俺頓得自己變年輕了。他們超愛拍照，而且也常要求要擺出搞笑的Pose，為了配合這些可愛小朋友的要求，俺只好一改我平日「端裝嚴肅」的本性，常跟著他們耍白吃~~哈！  

I am many years older than the other Taiwanese crews. It made me feel that I’ve become younger a lot while working and having fun with them. They love taking pictures and from time to time require funny postures for the shots. In order to cater for their requirements, I had no choice but alter my usual “dignified”and “serious”nature to follow their crazy acts. LOL~

在機上只要一有空，Mars和Ariel便會跑到我的工作區和我共事閒聊，不時他們也會拿出相機趁四下沒人的空檔拍照留念。到外站，我們不打算為了省錢將自己鎖在房內，決定好好體驗紐西蘭的生活。  

Whenever at leisure in flight, Mars and Ariel would come to my work zone to have small talks or work with me. If no other crews were around, they would take out their cameras and have our pictures taken. When in out-port, we planned not to lock ourselves in rooms and decided to wildly explore to the life in New Zealand .  

** 最後一句的When in out-port, we…因為以When開頭的副詞子句和逗點後的主要子句的主詞相同，所以可以省略When的主詞”we”，而原句為：When we were in out-port, we planned…。

我們享受了很多令人興奮的外站經驗：突然跳上車去奧克蘭的地底海洋世界一探究竟、一起去The Occidental餐廳吃好吃的紐西蘭淡菜、一起搭公車去奧克蘭動物園、一起去我介紹的韓式餡餅小攤吃好吃的韓式餡餅、一同到超市大採購、一起去吃組員們都會去吃的一家韓式餐廳吃韓國料理、一同到飯店旁的南半球第一高塔—天空塔看夜景喝啤酒、一起去便宜的土產店買土產…呵！雖然公司給的外站津貼給它花了不少，但非常值得，因為難得大家一起飛，不將這趟經驗搞得難忘怎麼行呢！  

We enjoyed ourselves with numerous thrilling out-port experiences: jumping onto the shuttle bus to check out Kelly Tarlton’s Underwater World without having planed on it; going to The Occidental restaurant to eat tasty Mussels; visiting the Auckland Zoo; trying delicious Korean stuffed pan cake from a street stand I recommended; going on a grocery shopping in a big supermarket; having Korean dinner in a Korean restaurant to which many a crew of my company resorts; going to the top of Sky Tower, the tallest building in Southern Hemisphere, and drinking beer together while enjoying the night view from there; shopping for Auckland’s local specialties, etc. Though having spent quite a lot of my out-port allowance, I think it worthwhile to consider treating myself like this as it’s so nice to fly with best pals. We all had got to make this flight memorable and unforgettable.
