難得好友來香港玩，得好好招待。
A good friend of mine came to Hong Kong, and surely I’d got to be a good host.
這次一起去看看不一樣的香港~~有別於熱鬧街市，我們一睹漁村的美和鄉土民情，走~~來去「大澳漁村」。
This time we decided to check out another angle of Hong Kong; in addition to hanging out in the lively, populous, and boisterous cities, we witnessed the beauty and the inviting local touches of Hong Kong’s fishing village. We headed for Dai-O Fishing Town.
有看過湯姆克魯斯「不可能的任務4：鬼影行動」的朋友，一定對阿湯哥在電影中冒著生命危險攀爬哈里發塔那驚險刺激的一幕幕感到印象深刻。是的~阿湯哥在電影裡頭，帶著強力手套攀爬的正是沒多久前取代世界最高大樓-「台北101（509.2公尺）」地位的當今世界最高大樓-「哈里發塔（828公尺）」。
Those who have seen Mission Impossible 4：Ghost Protocol should be very much impressed by the thrilling scenes in which Tom Cruise risks his life to scale Burj Kahlifa. Yes. In the movie, what Tom climbs with a pair of super adhesive gloves is no other than the world’s tallest building-Burj Kahlifa. Not long ago, Burj Kahlifa (828m) just surpassed Taipei 101(509.2m) in height, thereafter took over its position as the world’s tallest building.
哈里發塔（Burj Khalifa，又譯哈利法塔），正式啟用前原名為杜拜塔（Burj Dubai），是位於阿拉伯聯合大公國杜拜境內的摩天大樓，為當前世界第一高樓，樓層總數169層，造價達15億美元。於2004年9月21日開始動工，最後於2010年1月4日正式完工啟用，總共使用了約5年的時間建成。它著名的At the Top觀景台位於124樓，是凡造訪哈里發塔的遊客們都想上來體驗站在世界最高大樓那種「居高臨下」快感的絕佳所在。
Burj Khalifa, also known as Burj Dubai prior to its inauguration, is a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and the tallest building in the modern world. The building has 169 stories and was built at the cost of $1.5 USD. Having been constructed since 21 September 2004 and completed on 1 October 2009, Burj Khalifa underwent a 5-year construction process and officially opened on 4 January 2010. Its famous At the Top observation deck is on 124 story, the best spot offering visitors an amazing “overlooking high in the air” experience.
俺早就對哈里發塔趨之若鶩，期待有朝一日可以親自一探究竟，並且在人生的旅程向親朋好友分享自己親自曾造訪這「世界之最」的殊榮。再加上看了不可能的任務4的推波助瀾下，我更堅定自己一定要找時間登上塔頂，和朋友們分享站在世界最高塔上的喜悅。

在很多人的眼裡，空服員只不過是所謂的那些穿得體面、舉止端莊、和領高薪水的「高級服務生」。但事實上，我們可不只是大家所認知的如此而已喔。
In a number of people’s points of view, flight attendants are just the so-called “high-class waiters or waitresses” who wear decently, act gracefully and get good pay. Well, actually, we are more than what’s been considered in this way.
當然啦，為了讓乘客在看到我們的第一眼就可以感受到我們的專業，展現自己好看的一面並且舉止得宜是必要的。派餐和收餐以及回應客人五花八門的需求是我們的主要工作；這看起來好像和一般餐廳的服務生沒啥兩樣，但空服員還多了一項專長，以應付不時之需，那就是急救和逃生的技能。
Of course we have to make ourselves “good-looking” and behave accordingly when we work in-flight because by doing so, we can present our professionalism in the first sight out of our passengers. Meal distribution and collection as well as responding to passengers’ multifarious requests are our main tasks, which seem to be exactly the same duties as what waiters and waitress normally do in the restaurants. However, as a flight attendant, he/she should extend their knowledge and skills to the scope of first aids and evacuation in case any accidents happen unexpectedly.
正值準備飛名古屋班之際，俺最麻吉的台灣阿哥-“傑瑞”兄力薦我一定得嚐嚐名古屋的名產，當地的有名炸雞-「手羽先（てばさき—Te Ba Sa Ki）」。
Right before I got ready for my flying duty to Nagoya, my best Taiwanese senior male crew, Jerry, urged that I go try one of the Nagoya’s specialties-“手羽先(てばさき-Te Ba Sa Ki)", the deep-fried chicken wings of the city.
「手羽先(てばさき—Te Ba Sa Ki)」在日文的字面上其實就是雞翅的意思。在日本其實有很多不同的手羽先專賣店，而位於日本名古屋的「幻の手羽先」卻是眾多炸雞中的楚翹。到名古屋一定要去吃吃看。
てばさき(Te Ba Sa Ki) is literally meant by chicken wings in Japanese. There are a wide range of chicken wings in Japan; however, I’ll say that 幻の Te Ba Sa Ki can be viewed as one of a kind among its counterparts. When in Nagoya, it's a must-eat delicacy.
傑瑞哥說有家手羽先店就在我們名古屋飯店附近。我問了櫃台服務人員，他們大略告知我怎麼走後，俺就往這知名炸雞店出發啦！
今天心血來潮，和友人約一約一同去南ㄚ島走走。
Prompted by a sudden impulse, I felt like going to Lamma Island for a visit with my friend today.
在香港待了快四年了，經常聽同事說南ㄚ島多特別，景色多美，海鮮多好吃，但都沒有時間去一探究竟。好吧，今兒個就決定和友人來個首度南ㄚ島一遊。
I’ve been staying in Hong Kong for nearly 4 years, but haven’t had any chance to see exactly what Lamma Island is like. Oftentimes, I heard from my colleagues how special the Island is, how beautiful the views on the Island are, and how tasty the seafood there can be. Well, today I’ve just made up my mind to give my first try with my friend to hang around the Lamma Island.
南ㄚ島是香港的第三大島。和繁華喧囂的香港島與九龍比起來，南ㄚ島似乎較寧靜樸實多了，島上也可看到不少的自然景觀。來島上的觀光客主要是來爬山、遊船、看看有特色的巷弄街道（島上有不少的外國人居於此，所以可以看見中西交雜的餐廳和建築，很有意思）、以及嚐嚐美味的海鮮。我這趟的行程，就是先在老街上小晃，再來爬山，最後去吃海產。
第一次飛芝加哥，就和nice的台籍組員飛~連同幾個港crew大家相約抵達的隔天一起到市中心走晃。
It’s my first time to operate ORD flt and I’m so glad to have flown with nice Taiwanese crew. We, together with some Hong Kong crew, promised to have an outing together on the morrow after we arrived.
這個班真的是個適合安排一下當地遊覽的好班，雖然機上的服務累（一大堆狂吃的乘客+長時飛行），但在芝加哥當地有兩個整天和兩個半天可待，可以好好休息，悠閒的四處走馬看花。
This flt surely deserves an arrangement of a local sightseeing. Though a tiring flt it is (a number of devouring passengers and long flying time), two half days and two full days compensate its exhausting nature. We may take a good rest and go on a leisure sightseeing.
頭一次飛豬加溝，不幸的是~要出門的那天就碰到陰雨綿綿的天氣，貼心的台籍阿姐還一個個打電話問大伙出門的意願，看看是否要改隔天出遊。不過，我們幾個還是選擇就當天吧，早逛完早結束，以免夜長夢多。於是乎，三位台crew+兩位港crew一行人浩浩蕩蕩地結伴從飯店坐shuttle bus到Lombard火車站搭車到Downtown市中心觀光囉。(來回車票要價每人九塊五十分美金)
到香港工作快四年了。這段期間裡，感謝不少格友和親朋好友的支持與陪伴，這一張張你們對小夫的祝福，小夫會永遠保存下來，並且將持續地用美照和好文以及自製的明信片回饋給大家！
I have been working in Hong Kong for nearly 4 years, during which period I am so glad that a number of my dearest friends have been keeping showing their encouragements and company with me. This can be apparently disclosed from every piece of those mails and postcards you have sent me. I will keep them for good and will definitely non-stop share great pictures and articles as well as my hand-made postcards with you in return.
到外站時，公司都會安排我們住高檔飯店。我們公司的組員都是一人一大間房，非常享受。有的房間有很大的一張大床，有的甚至有兩張大床，有的房型比如說中東國家的飯店，還誇張到連華麗的客廳及廚房都有說，設備真是完善。
When in out-ports, we crew stay in nice, high-class hotels. In every hotel, every individual crew of my company is always arranged to stay in a big room, so enjoyable. Some rooms have king beds; some have even two large ones. Some, let’s take the hotel rooms in Middle-eastern countries for instance, are even equipped with luxurious living rooms and kitchens, ideally complete.
「Subway」這個字在國外一定都是指地鐵嗎？那可不一定。如果到英國，小心被騙。
加入魚翅幫屆滿三年了。感覺自己很幸運可以成為空服員，這份工作提供了我難得的機會學習服務的專業、許多的休閒時間做我想做的事、和「免費航班」讓我世界各地走透透~可說是拜空服工作所賜，我的眼界大開。
(第三趟飛行à名古屋過夜班)
認識這位移民到美國快二十年的老朋友-Michael有好多年了。第一次和Michael碰面大概是我五年前到美國自助旅行的時侯的事了。
I have known Michael, a Taiwanese friend of mine having emigrated to New York for nearly two decades, for ages. I remember the last time I paid him a visit was about 5 years ago when I traveled independently to New York .
Michael大哥前年結婚，而且也有一個可愛的女兒。我一直就想再來造訪Michael大哥和他的家人，而上一趟紐約班總算讓我這個計畫實現啦！那天剛好是禮拜五，這仁兄為了可以好好陪俺逛逛紐約市而特地請了個假。去吃Grimaldi’s的窯烤批薩為此行的重點，大哥建議我和他一同去吃吃看，這家批薩真的是太好吃了，他吃過的批薩中最好吃的喔！Michael說：「當你來布魯克林而且想要吃好吃的批薩時，來這家準沒錯的啦！」
