It’s my second time to Vancouver . Though it was a so-called golden flight, the six-day Vancouver , I did not actually make the best of my time there. Pity~

I think jet lag should be to blame for my not quite enjoying the stay in Vancouver . You know what, there is 15-hour time difference between Vancouver and Hong Kong . I don’t know! It was just difficult for me to adjust my biological clock to that zone. So, during my three-day stay in Vancouver, I slept quite a lot in the day, while in most of the nights I did whatever I wanted to do, including eating, reading, surfing the Internet, etc. Well, but there were still a few times that I did go out for grocery shopping or doing some outings in the neighborhood instead of sticking to my room. If it had not been for its high out-port allowance, more thank a thousand NT for just a few-day stay, this flight was not very much appealing to me.

** A ~ be動詞 to blame for BB要歸咎於A

This hotel offers luxurious suites. In my room, there are two big beds. As you can see, there is even a microwave oven provided in case the guest needs to nuke any foods by him/herself.

Jio-Ji is a Cantonese tea restaurant highly recommended by most crews, foods of which are not bad. The first thing we did with some of the crews right after our arrival at the hotel on the first day was rush to Jio-Ji to get ourselves stuffed. But prices of dishes are not cheap.

When setting my foot in the land of Vancouver , I should not have missed some of the must-visit attractions. I wish I could have taken an awesome walk across the longest and highest suspended foot bridge in the world, the Caplino Suspension Bridge . I wish I could have paid a visit to Gastown, a small historic town holding the roots to the city’s origin, where is also the world’s first steam clock located. I wish I could have hung around the most famous park in Vancouver , Stanley Park , and savored delicious food in one of the exotic restaurants gathering around the park. I wish I could have ridden the Grouse Mountain Gondola, the North America’s longest skyride, and taken in magnificent views from the peak of Vancouver . Well, though I did not have chances to experience the above-mentioned all, I will definitely take a rain check for my next return.

很簡單,只要would/could/should/might等過去式助動詞 + have P.P. You should have bought me a gift for my birthday.你應該為我的生日買個禮物給我(事實上並沒有買)I could have passed the exam if I had studied harder. S + wish + S + would/could/should/might + have P.P.

Eating in most of the restaurants here can be really costly. This food court in Richmond Public Market sells things quite affordable. Seen from the pictures, it’s apparently a place for the budget-hunting Chinese to do some grocery shoppings and eat out. As you can see, the layout of the first floor looks funny; many shops are separated from one another with only scaffolding-like partitions. There are vegetables, fruits, daily necessities and even furniture for sale. It was my Taiwanese colleague, Jennifer, that showed me around there and we had great lunch together. I ordered a set of three-dish rice from a cafeteria, and on the steamed rice was topped with what I chose: fried fish chips, stir-fried broccoli, and stir-fried bitter melon with chicken. Though not presentable, still the meal was so lovely.

I bought most of the foods from a nearby supermarket called SaveOnFoods, which is only 5-minute walk from hotel. Veggies occupied most of my food list, ranging from ready-to-eat salad packs to fruits. If you wanna ask me why I love greens so much, I think that I am a health-conscious person would be the main reason. Well, apart from fruits and vegetables, I also stocked up some other things like cereal, almond milk, pizza, and instant noodles for a change of taste.

This pizza is super nice, a hot spicy one with cheese and minced meat. I got it from a pizza place called Boston Pizza, located in the same plaza of SaveOnFoods . Pizza is always the first food option that would come across my mind when I feel hungry in out-ports, because I just wanna know how different the tastes are of the pizzas in different countries. For this one, I give it my thumbs up.
